![]() If you have done this, and the track isn't distorting because of too much volume, but is still too faint compared to the other instruments then add the "AUDynamicsProcessor" effect to the track, and raise the master. Make sure that the track doesn't spike or overload: keep the volume down on both the track volume slider and on the module. Make the correct adjustments to the settings of the track Create new track - real instrument (not midi or something) Open Garageband and go to preferences - Sound/midi - sound in, and set it to your interface Audacity 2.1.2, Windows 8.1 notebook, Roland TK-1KV drum kit, when connect USB (MIDI) output to computer, sets up as a TK (1) device in device manager, but Audacity doesn’t recognize as an input (microphone) device, can’t record my V-Drums via USB directly to Audacity. I've tried different combinations of TD-6V outputs with different track info input sources without success. The only audio Garage Band is picking up on, whether recording is armed or not, is through the built-in mic. I have tried all three input source settings available (Mono 1, Mono2, Stereo 1/2) without success. For the track info, monitor is set to off. From this thread, people have said to the built-in option is the way to go. In the Audio/Mini preferences, my only two options for Audio Input are "System Settings" and "Built-in Input". In Garage Band, I have created a real instrument track with no effects selected. I have tried all three jacks (1/8" phone jack, 1/4" L-output, 1/4" R-output) separately without success. ![]() On my Roland TD-6V, I have the volume turned up 2/3 of the way. ![]() Mac Powerbook running OSX v.10.6.8 with 1 input jack, maybe 1.5 years old.I'll offer as much detail I can think of: I'm having the same problem SeanTobin described and hope someone can help.
